Charlotte Flanagan, a former student of Cardinal Newman School, Luton, was a recipient of a student award from the Foundation.
She wrote to us recently to tell us how her award had helped and supported her through university.
“I am writing to thank you for your kind generosity for supporting me through my four years at Manchester University. I am pleased to inform you that I graduated in July with a 1st class Master of Mathematics.
“With the Connolly Foundation’s money I was able to purchase my yearly bus pass, which enabled me to get to university every day, and the required books needed for my final year project that were unavailable in the library. In addition to all my studying, I was also able to continue my dancing throughout the four years.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for supporting me financially and I can ensure you that the money went a long way in helping me gain the degree that I have now achieved.”
