Foundation supports student to follow medical dream
A second student from Cardinal Newman Catholic School has stated how her university experience will be transformed thanks to an award from the Connolly Foundation.
Munotidaishe Mahlahla, is a student at the Luton School, currently in Year 13 studying Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. She says it will be a big help to enable her to study for a medical degree.
Munotidaishe said: “In the future, I want to become a medical professional, involved in discovering and implementing innovative ways that empower those made vulnerable by illness to maintain excellent lifestyles through prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
“Studying either Medicine or Pharmacy at university would enable me to enhance my knowledge, personal and professional skills, and the nurturing outlook that will allow me to contribute to the improvement of the physical, emotional and psychological health of individuals in the society.
“From purchasing subject related textbooks and equipment, to living costs that include accommodation, The Connolly scholarship will allow me to properly focus on my course.”
