Support for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice

The Connolly Foundation continues to support the work of Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger.

Sue Ryder is a charity which supports people with complex needs and life- threatening illnesses across the UK.

St John’s Hospice provides 24 hour high quality care for people with life limiting conditions on their inpatient ward, at their day therapy unit and in the community around the hospice.

Their nurses also provide invaluable support and guidance for families and loved ones, helping them to understand symptoms, treatments and coming to terms with the progression of their condition.

Lisa Maclean, the Hospice Director said: “The Connolly Foundation’s incredible gift of £50,000 and their ongoing support has had a hugely positive impact at St John’s.

“We support people through the most difficult times of their lives.

“Our doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

“Whether it’s at our inpatient unit, through our Day Services or out in the community through our Palliative Care Hub, Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice provides specialist, holistic palliative care for people across Bedfordshire.

“We would be unable to provide this care without the support of organisations like the Connolly Foundation and we cannot thank them enough.”
