Rothsay Education Centre

The Rothsay Education Centre in Bedford, which provides over 200 courses each year to people over 50 years old, have benefitted from support of the Connolly Foundation.

The self-funded charity, located in Rothsay Gardens, is building a new extension to its building so it can offer its services to more people as the current facility is bursting at the seams.

The variety of courses on offer range from art, to languages and literature, history, music and science extend to yoga and Pilates as well as Bridge classes.

Weekend and summer courses are also offered to anyone aged over 18.

David Wood, chief officer of the REC, said: “We are so grateful to the Connolly Foundation for this very generous donation.

“It gives the green light to our refurbishment project and means that the REC can continue its work, making a difference to the health and well-being of so many people.”
