Education and Young People

The Connolly Foundation aims to give young people and schools support across a number of areas including financial support for students during their education, wellbeing and helping young people acquire new skills and qualifications.

Supporting young people to achieve their potential through education and training is at the heart of the Connolly Foundation.

One way in which we help is through our bursary progamme which gives financial assistance to a growing number of young people to support them through university.

Sixth form students from 19 schools across Bedfordshire and Luton can apply for a bursary during their final year at school.  If they are successful, they can claim for each year of their first degree course. This means that medical and veterinary students can claim for up to six years.

In 2024 the Connolly Foundation awarded 775 bursaries totalling £477,250. More schools will be joining the programme this year.

Bursaries are awarded for those who achieve high grades in their A levels.
